Is It The Right Time to Scrap My Vehicle?

August 29th, 2020 Allamerican_admin

All American Auto Salvage has been serving the tri-state area for several decades now. People come to our auto salvage and scrap yard in Rahway, New Jersey looking for used auto parts at great prices. Maybe they need to replace their transmission, or they’re looking for body panels… whatever the case, All American Auto Salvage makes it easy for people to find the parts they need to repair/restore their vehicles.

Maybe you own a vehicle that you no longer want or need. How do you know if you should scrap your vehicle?

Well, there are several reasons you might want to sell or give your vehicle to a scrap yard… Maybe it’s really old and worn out and isn’t worth fixing “one more time.” Has it been rotting away in a garage for years? Maybe it’s no longer safe compared to what you could be driving these days.

What else?

• If the check engine light never, ever goes off, it might be time to scrap the vehicle.

• If you don’t have the title, it might be time to scrap the vehicle.

• If it’s a literal “rust bucket,” with various parts having fallen off, it might be time to scrap the vehicle.

• Finally, if you’ve tried to sell your vehicle and absolutely no one will buy it, what else are you supposed to do with it? Sure, you could try leaving it in the yard as a lawn decoration, but the neighbors might not appreciate that… so, instead, scrap it!

If you’ve never scrapped a car or truck before, you’re probably not familiar with the process/how it works. That’s okay; Call All American Auto Salvage at 732-574-1945 and tell us what you have and we’ll figure out the details. You can also visit us at 192 Leesville Ave. in Rahway, NJ.
